Okuma OSP Alarm A 1471 - CON speed XS-axis

CON speed XS-axis

While the Xs-axis (cam-axis) machining data and compensation data were being calculated and set to memory, the spindle speed exceeded the allowable limit for profile generation. The cam profile cannot be generated at the requested spindle speed.

Common Causes

  • Spindle speed designated for developing the profile is too large
  • Major diameter or cam lift amount in the cam profile definition too large

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. 1Read the code number shown with the alarm: code hex value = Hexadecimal of the allowable spindle speed for profile generation
  2. 2Read the code: it is the hexadecimal of the allowable spindle speed; compare it with the spindle speed designated in the cam profile job.
  3. 3Review the spindle speed designated optionally for developing the profile as the manual directs, and reduce it below the allowable limit.
  4. 4Review the cam profile definition file as the manual directs: reduce the major diameter or cam lift amount if they are too large for the machine's profile generation.
  5. 5Regenerate the Xs-axis machining and compensation data at the corrected values and confirm the calculation completes without the alarm.
