Okuma OSP Alarm A 1490 - Synchronous mode spindle speed command

Synchronous mode spindle speed command

When synchronous mode was entered, the spindle speed stored in the cam execute data did not match the programmed spindle speed. The control refuses to run synchronous mode with a mismatched speed.

Common Causes

  • Programmed spindle speed differs from the speed used when learning control data was created

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. 1Read the code number shown with the alarm: code hex value = Hexadecimal of the spindle speed in the cam execute data that disagrees with the programmed spindle speed
  2. 2Read the hexadecimal code shown on screen; it identifies the spindle speed in the cam execute data that disagrees with the programmed speed.
  3. 3Compare the S value commanded in the program with the spindle speed that was used when the learning control data was recorded.
  4. 4Correct the programmed spindle speed so it matches the learning data, as the manual directs by reviewing the spindle speed.
  5. 5If the speed must be changed, carry out the learning control again so the cam execute data matches the new speed.
  6. 6If it returns after these checks, record the alarm number, code and object and contact Okuma service.
