Troubleshooting Steps

  1. 1Before opening anything, turn off the main power and lock it out; allow drive capacitors time to discharge before touching the controller.
  2. 2Open the XS-axis servo controller and check its fuse — a blown fuse is the manual's first listed cause; replace it with the same type and rating.
  3. 3If the fuse blows again immediately, the controller unit itself is faulty — replace the unit.
  4. 4The alarm state can be cleared by turning the power off and back on after the repair.
  5. 5If the alarm returns after these checks, record the alarm number and contact Okuma service.
