An axis, spindle, or turret movement command was given while the corresponding interlock signal was off. The control refuses the motion because the interlocked state (attachment clamp, tool clamp equipment, or axis interlock signal) does not permit it.

Axis interlock
An axis, spindle, or turret movement command was given while the corresponding interlock signal was off. The control refuses the motion because the interlocked state (attachment clamp, tool clamp equipment, or axis interlock signal) does not permit it.
Common Causes
XA/XB/ZA/ZB-axis move commanded while that axis's interlock signal is off
Spindle command while spindle interlock is off, or any command while all-axis interlock is off
ZA/XA/YA move commanded with the attachment not clamped/unclamped, or B-turret move with the tool clamp equipment in the wrong state
Troubleshooting Steps
1Read the code number shown with the alarm: code 1 = XA-axis move commanded while XA-axis interlock signal off; code 2 = XB-axis move commanded while XB-axis interlock signal off; code 3 = ZA-axis move commanded while ZA-axis interlock signal off; code 4 = ZB-axis move commanded while ZB-axis interlock signal off; code 5 = Spindle command while spindle interlock signal off; code 6 = Axis/spindle/turret command while all-axis interlock signal off; code 7 = ZA/XA/YA move commanded with attachment not clamped or not unclamped; code 8 = B-turret move commanded with tool clamp equipment in wrong state
2Read the code: 1 XA-axis interlock, 2 XB-axis interlock, 3 ZA-axis interlock, 4 ZB-axis interlock, 5 spindle interlock, 6 all-axis interlock, 7 ZA/XA/YA move with attachment not clamped or not unclamped, 8 B-turret move with tool clamp equipment in the wrong state.
3For codes 1-6, identify why the interlock signal is off: check the interlock input on the I/O screen and the device (limit switch, sensor, or relay) that drives it.
4For code 7, complete the attachment clamp or unclamp sequence and confirm the clamp confirmation signal before moving ZA/XA/YA.
5For code 8, put the tool clamp equipment in the correct state before commanding B-turret movement.
6If the interlock signal never turns on when it should, check the interlock wiring and the driving device.
