A spindle table rotation or unclamp command was issued under an illegal condition: pulse-handle mode active, clamp/unclamp confirmation switches not made, clamp signal lost during motion, axes not at their limits, A-axis positioning unfinished, or the PLC 6th axis servo off. The control blocked the table motion.

Spindle table rotation
A spindle table rotation or unclamp command was issued under an illegal condition: pulse-handle mode active, clamp/unclamp confirmation switches not made, clamp signal lost during motion, axes not at their limits, A-axis positioning unfinished, or the PLC 6th axis servo off. The control blocked the table motion.
Common Causes
Rotation or unclamp commanded while the spindle table is in pulse-handle mode
Spindle table clamp or unclamp confirmation switch not ON
Clamp signal dropped during axis movement
X/Z axis not at positive limit or A-axis positioning not finished when rotation was commanded
PLC 6th axis servo not ON
Troubleshooting Steps
1Read the code number shown with the alarm: code 1 = Rotation command issued while the spindle table was in pulse-handle mode.; code 2 = Spindle table clamp confirmation switch is not ON.; code 3 = Spindle table unclamp confirmation switch is not ON.; code 4 = Clamp signal turned off during axis movement.; code 5 = Rotation commanded with the X/Z axis not at the positive limit.; code 6 = A-axis positioning not finished.; code 7 = Unclamp command issued while in pulse-handle mode.; code 8 = PLC 6th axis servo is not ON.
2Read the code: 1 rotation in pulse-handle mode; 2 clamp confirmation switch not ON; 3 unclamp confirmation switch not ON; 4 clamp signal lost during axis movement; 5 rotation with X/Z not at positive limit; 6 A-axis positioning not finished; 7 unclamp in pulse-handle mode; 8 PLC 6th axis servo not ON.
3For code 1 or 7, take the spindle table out of pulse-handle mode before commanding rotation or unclamp.
4For code 2 or 3, check the clamp/unclamp confirmation limit switches for correct actuation and wiring, and confirm the clamp mechanism actually completes its stroke.
5For code 4, find why the clamp signal dropped during motion: low clamp pressure, a bouncing switch or a wiring fault, and repair it.
6For code 5 or 6, move the X/Z axes to the positive limit and let A-axis positioning finish before commanding table rotation.
7For code 8, turn the PLC 6th axis servo ON and confirm it is ready before retrying the table command.
