Okuma OSP Alarm C 3783 - ATC interlock

ATC interlock

On a matrix magazine machine, an MGA/MGB axis movement command was blocked because the carriage pot was not in the required position, or the carriage pot state changed during axis movement. The control interlocks the matrix magazine axes to protect the pots and tools.

Common Causes

  • MGA axis movement commanded with the carriage pot not in down end position
  • Carriage pot state changed during MGA/MGB axis movement
  • Carriage pot swing ordered from an invalid position, or MGB move beyond range with a pot/tool on the carriage

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. 1Read the code number shown with the alarm: code 1 = MGA move commanded with carriage pot not at down end position; code 2 = Carriage pot state changed during MGA/MGB axis movement; code 3 = MGA move commanded with carriage pot not at down end position; code 4 = Carriage pot swing ordered from an invalid swing position; code 5 = MGB move beyond movable range with pot/tool on carriage with pot out
  2. 2Read the code: 1 MGA move commanded with carriage pot not at down end position, 2 carriage pot state changed during MGA/MGB movement, 3 MGA move commanded with carriage pot not at down end, 4 carriage pot swing ordered from a bad swing position, 5 MGB move beyond movable range with a pot or tool on the carriage with the pot out.
  3. 3For codes 1 and 3, bring the carriage pot to the down end position before commanding MGA axis movement.
  4. 4For code 2, find what disturbed the carriage pot during axis movement: check the pot position switches and the carriage mechanism for looseness.
  5. 5For code 4, return the carriage pot to a valid position before ordering the swing action.
  6. 6For code 5, remove the pot or tool from the carriage or move within the MGB movable range before commanding the move.
