Okuma OSP Alarm C 3795 - Hydraulic oil unit

Hydraulic oil unit

The hydraulic oil unit reported a fault: a clogged oil filter, a clogged cooling filter, abnormal oil temperature, or a stopped cooling fan. Hydraulic performance is degraded and the machine stops to protect the hydraulic system.

Common Causes

  • Hydraulic oil filter clogged with contamination
  • Hydraulic oil cooling filter clogged
  • Hydraulic oil temperature abnormal (cooler failure or extreme ambient)
  • Hydraulic oil cooling fan stopped

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. 1Read the code number shown with the alarm: code 1 = Hydraulic oil filter was clogged.; code 2 = Hydraulic oil cooling filter was clogged.; code 3 = Hydraulic oil unit temperature was unusual.; code 4 = Hydraulic oil cooling fan was stopped.
  2. 2Read the code: 1 is a clogged hydraulic oil filter, 2 is a clogged hydraulic oil cooling filter, 3 is abnormal hydraulic oil temperature, 4 is a stopped hydraulic oil cooling fan.
  3. 3For code 1 or 2, replace the indicated filter element and check the hydraulic oil condition; heavily contaminated oil means an oil change and a look for the contamination source.
  4. 4For code 3, check the oil cooler operation, coolant flow or cooling air path, and verify the tank oil temperature with a thermometer against the unit's normal range.
  5. 5For code 4, check the cooling fan for free rotation, its power connector and supply voltage, and replace the fan if the motor has failed.
  6. 6After servicing, run the hydraulic unit and confirm the code's condition clears and pressure holds steady.
