Okuma OSP Alarm B 2760 - Sub-spindle rotation tool interlock

Sub-spindle rotation tool interlock

A rotary-tool (live tool) rotation command was issued on the B-turret side while the A-turret side was not in G141 sub-spindle mode. On this twin-turret machine the live tool on the B side may only be commanded when the A side is in G141 mode, so the control blocked the command.

Common Causes

  • Program issues the B-side rotary tool command (e.g. M13) without G141 active on the A side
  • G141 mode was canceled on the A side before the B-side tool command
  • Incorrect mode switching sequence between G13/G14 turret selection and G141

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. 1Read the program block highlighted at the alarm and find the B-side rotary tool rotation command (such as M13 on the G14 side).
  2. 2Check the mode on the A-turret side at that point in the program: the A side must be in G141 (sub-spindle coordinate mode) before the B-side rotary tool command is given.
  3. 3Edit the program so the A side commands G141 first and keep it active while the B side runs its rotary tool command, matching the manual's program example structure.
  4. 4Re-run the corrected sequence in single block to confirm the live tool starts without the interlock alarm.
