Okuma OSP Alarm B 2767 - M-spindle low rotation interlock

M-spindle low rotation interlock

An M-spindle low speed (extremely low revolution) command was issued before its conditions were met: C-axis not connected, synchronized rotation active, flat turning in progress, or a winding-change condition mismatch with M241/M242/M519/M520. The control blocked the low speed mode.

Common Causes

  • Low speed command issued with the C-axis not connected
  • Low speed command issued during synchronized rotation
  • Low speed command issued during flat turning
  • M241/M242 winding conversion commanded inside extreme low speed mode
  • M519 commanded without the M241 winding-change condition, or M519/M520 commanded while the spindle rotates

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. 1Read the code number shown with the alarm: code 1 = Low speed command issued with the C-axis not connected.; code 2 = Low speed command issued during synchronized rotation.; code 3 = Low speed instruction issued during flat turning.; code 4 = M241/M242 winding conversion commanded in extreme low speed mode.; code 5 = Low speed commanded on an M-spindle without the extreme low speed specification.; code 6 = M519 commanded without the M241 winding-change condition.; code 7 = M519 or M520 commanded while the spindle rotates.
  2. 2Read the code: 1 C-axis not connected; 2 during synchronized rotation; 3 during flat turning; 4 M241/M242 commanded in extreme low speed mode; 5 low speed commanded on an M-spindle without the extreme low speed specification; 6 M519 commanded without the M241 winding-change condition; 7 M519/M520 commanded while the spindle rotates.
  3. 3For code 1, connect the C-axis before issuing the M-spindle low speed command.
  4. 4For code 2, cancel the synchronized rotation before issuing the low speed command, as the manual directs.
  5. 5For code 3, release flat turning first, then issue the M-spindle low speed instruction, as the manual directs.
  6. 6For codes 4-7, sequence the winding change correctly: establish the M241 condition before M519, and only command M519/M520 with the spindle stopped.
  7. 7Re-run the mode change section in single block to confirm each precondition is satisfied before the low speed command.
