Okuma OSP Alarm A 1727 - C-axis ON/OFF command not possible
A C-axis connect/disconnect command (M110, M109, M892, M891) was issued while a condition that must be satisfied for the changeover was not met. The control rejects the command because, for example, the spindle is still turning, the C-axis is clamped or interlocked, or another function (synchronous control, APC, tailstock pin) blocks the connection.

Okuma OSP Alarm A 1727 - C-axis ON/OFF command not possible
C-axis ON/OFF command not possible
A C-axis connect/disconnect command (M110, M109, M892, M891) was issued while a condition that must be satisfied for the changeover was not met. The control rejects the command because, for example, the spindle is still turning, the C-axis is clamped or interlocked, or another function (synchronous control, APC, tailstock pin) blocks the connection.
Common Causes
Program or operation error, e.g. M110 commanded while the spindle is still rotating (M03 active)
Faulty spindle zero-speed input signal
Faulty EC input for C-axis connection
On high-speed connection specification, the slave station input CFJ not at "1"
Troubleshooting Steps
1Read the code number shown with the alarm: code 1 = Spindle is not at zero speed; code 2 = Spindle is not at a still; code 3 = Spindle rotation command is active; code 4 = C-axis is clamped; code 5 = C-axis is interlocked; code 6 = Connection command given to a C-axis under control of the other turret; code 7 = Spindle is under synchronous control; code 8 = Command designated in extreme low speed rotation mode
2Read the alarm code and match it to the blocking condition: 1/2 = spindle not at zero speed or not at a still; 3 = spindle rotation command active; 4 = C-axis clamped; 5 = C-axis interlocked; 6 = command given to a C-axis controlled by the other turret; 7 = spindle under synchronous control; 8/9/15 = extreme low speed or low speed acceleration mode active; 10 = M-tool spindle rotating; 11 = HOB mode; 12/13 = APC pallet not clamped or fork not down; 14 = tailstock index pin not out; 16 = C-axis group undecided due to invalid APC pallet number.
3Check the program and operation sequence: never issue M110/M109 while the spindle is rotating (e.g. M03 then M110) — stop the spindle fully and confirm zero speed before the connect/disconnect command.
4For codes 12, 13, 14 and 16, correct the mechanical state first: clamp the APC pallet, lower the APC fork, withdraw the tailstock index pin, and verify the pallet number is valid.
5If the program and operation are correct, check the spindle zero-speed input signal and the EC input for C-axis connection at the I/O monitor.
6On high-speed connection specification machines, confirm the slave station input CFJ reads "1".
7If all inputs are correct and the alarm persists, record the alarm number, code and object and contact Okuma service.
