KRC0543

KUKA Robot KRC0543 - Wrong adhesive pressure

Wrong adhesive pressure

The adhesive pressure monitoring system in the PLC has detected a pressure value outside the permissible tolerance range during dispensing operations. This typically indicates either air bubbles in the adhesive supply line or a clogged outlet nozzle, both of which prevent proper adhesive application.

Common Causes

  • Air bubbles trapped in the adhesive supply line reducing effective pressure
  • Adhesive outlet nozzle completely or partially clogged with hardened material
  • Pressure regulator valve malfunction or improper calibration on the dispensing unit
  • Adhesive supply pump cavitation due to low reservoir level or filter blockage
  • Defective pressure transducer sending incorrect signals to the KRC4 control system

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. 1Verify the adhesive reservoir level is adequate and check that the supply pump is operating normally
  2. 2Inspect the adhesive supply line for visible air bubbles and perform a purge cycle to remove trapped air
  3. 3Remove and visually inspect the outlet nozzle for clogs, hardened adhesive, or debris using appropriate cleaning solvents
  4. 4Use a calibrated pressure gauge to verify actual system pressure matches the PLC setpoint value
  5. 5Check the pressure transducer signal in WorkVisual diagnostics and compare raw sensor values to expected range
  6. 6If pressure remains unstable, replace the pressure regulator valve and recalibrate the adhesive dispensing parameters in KRL program
