KUKA Robot KRC0342 - ACKN. EMERGENCY STOP DUE TO DIAL MASTERING

ACKN. EMERGENCY STOP DUE TO DIAL MASTERING

This alarm indicates that an emergency stop has been triggered due to activation of dial mastering softkeys on the teach pendant. Dial mastering is a calibration procedure used to synchronize joint encoders with the robot's internal position reference system, and the softkey activation has caused an immediate halt of all robot motion as a safety measure.

Common Causes

  • Accidental pressing of dial mastering softkey during normal operation
  • Teach pendant button stuck or malfunctioning in dial mastering mode
  • Unintended activation while navigating teach pendant menu
  • Teach pendant firmware or software glitch causing false softkey trigger
  • Improper teach pendant handling or storage causing button depression

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. 1Acknowledge the alarm using the teach pendant acknowledge button or KRC interface
  2. 2Inspect the teach pendant for stuck buttons or physical damage, particularly in the dial mastering softkey area
  3. 3Verify that dial mastering mode was not intentionally being performed; if yes, ensure proper startup sequence is followed
  4. 4Check teach pendant firmware version and update if necessary through the KRC controller maintenance menu
  5. 5Perform a soft reset of the teach pendant by powering it off for 30 seconds and powering back on
  6. 6If alarm persists, replace the teach pendant and verify robot motion resumes normally with backup pendant
