KRC0343

KUKA Robot KRC0343 - ACKN. POWER MODULE AXIS <axis number> NOT /OR INCORRECTLY CONNECTED

ACKN. POWER MODULE AXIS <axis number> NOT /OR INCORRECTLY CONNECTED

This alarm indicates that the power module connector for the specified axis is either not fully seated, disconnected, or making poor electrical contact with the KRC controller's power distribution interface. The system detects a missing or faulty connection during the axis initialization sequence and cannot establish proper power delivery to the axis motor amplifier.

Common Causes

  • Power connector not fully inserted or partially disconnected from the power module
  • Corroded or oxidized connector pins preventing proper electrical contact
  • Damaged or bent connector pins on either the axis cable or power module receptacle
  • Loose or missing locking clip/fastener on the connector housing
  • Faulty axis power cable with internal conductor breakage or shielding damage

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. 1Power down the KRC controller completely and wait 30 seconds before proceeding
  2. 2Locate the power module connector for the specified axis and visually inspect for visible damage, corrosion, or debris
  3. 3Firmly reseat the power connector, ensuring it is fully inserted until the locking mechanism engages with an audible click
  4. 4Clean connector contacts using compressed air and inspect connector pins for bending or corrosion; use isopropyl alcohol for light oxidation
  5. 5Check the entire length of the axis power cable for kinks, cuts, or pinching that could indicate internal wire damage
  6. 6If the alarm persists after reconnection, replace the axis power cable and connector assembly, then power cycle the controller to verify the alarm clears
