KUKA Robot KRC0339 - ACKN. SBXHPU CONNECTED INPUT

ACKN. SBXHPU CONNECTED INPUT

The safety box (SBXHPU) has detected a fault in the teach pendant connection input signal, indicating that the safety controller cannot properly acknowledge the teach pendant's plugged-in status. This alarm occurs when the safety box fails to receive or validate the expected input signal that confirms physical connection of the teach pendant to the robot controller.

Common Causes

  • Loose or damaged teach pendant connector/cable
  • Faulty teach pendant connection pins or receptacle
  • Broken safety harness wire in the pendant cable
  • Defective safety box input module or circuit
  • Intermittent electrical contact due to corrosion or contamination on connector pins

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. 1Power cycle the robot controller and safety box to reset the fault condition
  2. 2Visually inspect the teach pendant connector and cable for physical damage, bending, or corrosion
  3. 3Disconnect and reconnect the teach pendant firmly, ensuring the connector is fully seated
  4. 4Clean connector pins on both the teach pendant and controller receptacle using approved contact cleaner
  5. 5Check the safety box input wiring diagram and verify continuity of the teach pendant connection signal using a multimeter
  6. 6If fault persists, replace the teach pendant cable or safety box input module as the connector or circuitry may be defective
