KRC0363

KUKA Robot KRC0363 - ACKN. i2 t MONITORING, CURRENT LIMIT OF THE MOTOR CABLE <string> AFTER <string>s EXCEEDED 100

ACKN. i2 t MONITORING, CURRENT LIMIT OF THE MOTOR CABLE <string> AFTER <string>s EXCEEDED 100

The i2t current monitoring system has detected that motor cable current has exceeded safe limits for the specified duration, indicating the axis is mechanically overloaded or stalled. The maximum permissible limit is configured in the machine data parameter CURR_MON[] and has been surpassed by 100, requiring immediate investigation of the load condition.

Common Causes

  • Mechanical obstruction or collision blocking axis movement causing motor stall current
  • Tool payload exceeding the specified load rating for the manipulator axis
  • Friction increase due to worn bearings, seals, or lubrication breakdown in the robot kinematic chain
  • Machine data CURR_MON[] values set too low relative to actual application requirements
  • Servo drive malfunction or current measurement circuit failure producing false overload indication

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. 1Stop all robot motion immediately using KUKA smartPAD emergency stop and check for mechanical obstructions or collisions
  2. 2Verify the actual tool and workpiece payload matches the specification documented in the system configuration
  3. 3Manually move the affected axis through its full range of motion to identify increased friction or binding points
  4. 4Review CURR_MON[] machine data settings in WorkVisual and compare against the axis rated current from motor documentation
  5. 5Use the KRC4 diagnostics menu to monitor real-time axis current values and compare against baseline during normal operation
  6. 6Contact KUKA service if payload and friction are normal, as servo drive replacement may be required
