KUKA Robot KRC0369 - ACKN SERVO BUS DISTURBANCE **

ACKN SERVO BUS DISTURBANCE **

This alarm indicates a disturbance or communication failure detected on the servo bus (SERCOS interface) between the KRC controller and the drive amplifiers/servo drives. The controller has lost synchronization or encountered corrupted data packets on the real-time servo communication network, preventing proper axis control and feedback.

Common Causes

  • Damaged or loose servo bus cable connections between controller and drive modules
  • Electromagnetic interference (EMI) or electrical noise affecting the SERCOS fiber optic or copper cable
  • Faulty servo drive unit or power supply module requiring replacement
  • Corrupted firmware or incompatible software versions between controller and drive amplifiers
  • Internal controller hardware failure in the servo bus interface card or communication processor

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. 1Power cycle the robot controller completely (full power down for 30 seconds minimum) to reset servo bus communication
  2. 2Inspect all servo bus cable connectors and fiber optic connections for visible damage, dust, or loose seating and reseat firmly
  3. 3Check cable routing away from high-voltage power lines and welding equipment; relocate shielded cables if necessary to reduce EMI
  4. 4Verify servo drive firmware versions match controller specifications using KRC diagnostics menu and update if required
  5. 5Use KRC ServiceRobot software to run servo bus diagnostics and identify which specific axis or drive unit is failing communication
  6. 6If disturbance persists after troubleshooting, contact KUKA service for servo drive replacement or controller hardware diagnosis
