KRC0370

KUKA Robot KRC0370 - ACKN SERVO BUS DISTURBANCE **

ACKN SERVO BUS DISTURBANCE **

This alarm indicates a disturbance or communication fault detected on the servo bus (SERCOS interface) between the KRC controller and the servo drives. The controller has acknowledged the bus error condition, which typically results from signal integrity issues, electrical noise, or temporary loss of synchronization on the servo communication network.

Common Causes

  • Loose or corroded servo bus cable connectors between controller and drive modules
  • Electromagnetic interference (EMI) from external sources affecting the SERCOS fiber optic or copper lines
  • Damaged or degraded servo bus cabling with compromised shielding or insulation
  • Servo drive firmware mismatch or incompatibility with KRC controller software version
  • Faulty servo drive module or controller interface board requiring replacement

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. 1Power down the robot system completely and wait 30 seconds, then perform a warm restart to clear transient bus faults
  2. 2Visually inspect all servo bus connectors (both controller and drive ends) for loose connections, corrosion, or physical damage and reseat firmly
  3. 3Check for proper grounding of servo drive modules and verify shielding integrity on all servo bus cables
  4. 4Review KRC software version and servo drive firmware versions using the Teach Pendant diagnostics menu to ensure compatibility
  5. 5If using SERCOS fiber optic connections, inspect fiber connectors for dirt or damage; clean with appropriate fiber optic cleaning supplies
  6. 6If alarm persists after above steps, isolate the faulty servo drive by systematic testing or replace the servo bus interface board in the KRC controller
