KRC0367

KUKA Robot KRC0367 - ACKN SERVO BUS DISTURBANCE DSE **

ACKN SERVO BUS DISTURBANCE DSE **

This alarm indicates an acknowledgment failure on the servo bus due to a disturbance in the DSE (Distributed Servo Electronics) communication link. The controller detected a communication error between the KRC control unit and one or more servo drive modules, preventing proper synchronization and command acknowledgment on the servo bus network.

Common Causes

  • Loose or corroded connectors on the servo bus communication cables
  • Damaged or shielded servo bus cabling with EMI/RFI interference
  • Defective servo drive module (DSE) or encoder feedback unit
  • Power supply voltage fluctuations or insufficient bus voltage to drive modules
  • Firmware mismatch between KRC controller and servo drive modules

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. 1Power cycle the robot controller completely and allow 30 seconds before restart to reset servo bus communication
  2. 2Inspect all servo bus connector plugs and sockets for corrosion, dirt, or mechanical damage; clean contacts with isopropyl alcohol if needed
  3. 3Verify servo bus cable integrity by visually checking for cuts, pinches, or signs of heat damage along the entire cable run
  4. 4Check that all servo drive module (DSE) status LEDs are illuminated correctly and match the expected configuration for your robot model
  5. 5Use the KUKA service diagnostics tool to monitor real-time servo bus voltage and communication packets for intermittent faults
  6. 6If alarm persists, replace the affected servo bus cable segment or the faulty DSE module and reload the robot parameter set
