KUKA Robot KRC0336 - POWER FAILURE

POWER FAILURE

KRC0336 indicates a complete loss of mains voltage supply to the robot controller cabinet. This alarm triggers when the primary AC power input to the KUKA KRC control system is interrupted or disconnected, preventing normal operation of the controller and all connected subsystems. The controller cannot maintain its operating voltage levels or execute any robot movements until mains power is restored.

Common Causes

  • Main circuit breaker or disconnect switch is in the OFF position
  • Tripped main circuit breaker due to overcurrent or short circuit condition
  • Loose or disconnected mains power cable connectors at the cabinet inlet
  • Facility mains power outage or disruption in the power distribution network
  • Faulty main contactor or power supply module within the controller cabinet

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. 1Verify that facility mains power is available by checking other equipment on the same circuit or consulting facility electrical systems
  2. 2Inspect the main disconnect switch and circuit breaker on the controller cabinet; reset any tripped breakers by switching to OFF then ON
  3. 3Check all mains power cable connections at the cabinet power inlet for corrosion, damage, or loose terminals and reseat connections if needed
  4. 4Examine the power supply module LED indicators and internal fuses for signs of failure or burnout; replace fuses if blackened or damaged
  5. 5If power is restored but the alarm persists, power cycle the entire system by switching off the main disconnect, waiting 30 seconds, then switching back on
  6. 6Contact KUKA service if the alarm recurs after power restoration or if the main contactor fails to engage with an audible click sound
