KUKA Robot KRC0335 - ACKN. PASSIVE STOP <RCP or teach pendant>

ACKN. PASSIVE STOP <RCP or teach pendant>

This is an informational alarm indicating that a passive stop command initiated from either the teach pendant or Remote Control Panel (RCP) has been acknowledged by the robot controller. A passive stop halts robot motion while maintaining torque on the axes, allowing controlled deceleration rather than an emergency stop. This message confirms successful receipt and execution of the stop request.

Common Causes

  • User pressed the stop button on the teach pendant during program execution
  • Stop command was issued from the Remote Control Panel (RCP) interface
  • Automatic passive stop triggered by safety system conditions
  • Program pause function activated requiring axis motion cessation
  • Manual intervention during robot operation in manual mode

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. 1Review the alarm log timestamp to correlate with specific operational events or user actions
  2. 2Verify teach pendant and RCP communication status with the KRC controller via diagnostic menus
  3. 3Check if this alarm appears in sequence with other alarms that may indicate the root cause
  4. 4Confirm that robot axes respond correctly after acknowledgment by issuing motion commands
  5. 5Review safety system status and verify all safety circuits are functioning normally
  6. 6If alarm occurs unexpectedly without user input, inspect controller software version and perform system diagnostics
