KUKA Robot KRC0334 - ACKN. OPERATOR SAFETY

ACKN. OPERATOR SAFETY

This alarm indicates that an operator safety interlock has been triggered while the robot controller is operating in AUTOMATIC or EXTERNAL mode. The safety system has detected a potential hazard condition and has halted robot motion to protect personnel in the work envelope. This is a protective safety function that requires acknowledgment and investigation before operation can resume.

Common Causes

  • Operator or personnel entering the robot's work envelope during automatic operation without proper safety gate closure
  • Safety light curtain or laser scanner obstruction detected in the protected zone
  • Safety gate or access door opened while the robot is in motion or executing a program
  • Faulty or misaligned safety sensor providing intermittent signals
  • Emergency stop button activated or safety relay circuit malfunction

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. 1Verify that all personnel have exited the robot's work envelope and danger zone completely
  2. 2Check that all safety gates, interlocks, and access doors are properly closed and latched
  3. 3Inspect safety light curtains, laser scanners, and proximity sensors for obstructions, dirt, or misalignment and clean as needed
  4. 4Test all safety sensor inputs by manually triggering each device and observing controller feedback in the diagnostic menu
  5. 5Verify safety relay circuits and wiring connections are intact with no loose terminals or damaged cables
  6. 6Acknowledge the alarm through the teach pendant interface and resume operation only after confirming all safety conditions are met
