Fanuc Alarm PS0060 - N Number Search Failed

Sequence Number Not Found

Fanuc alarm PS0060: Sequence Number Not Found. The part program or machine configuration has an error related to this alarm condition. Review the block indicated in the alarm screen and correct the command per the Fanuc programming manual.

Root Cause Summary

PS0060 occurs when the CNC cannot locate the specified N-number (sequence number) during a program search or restart operation. This typically happens when the operator enters a non-existent sequence number, the program lacks N-numbers, or the search parameters are incorrectly configured in the system.

Safety

  • Program cannot restart at specified location

Causes and Fixes

  1. 1

Press PRGRM key and verify the active program number displayed on screen matches the intended program. Check program content for existing N-numbers using cursor or search function.

  2. 2

If restarting after interruption, carefully review the program listing to confirm the exact N-number format. Fanuc requires exact match including leading zeros if programmed (N0100 vs N100).

  3. 3

Press RESET to clear PS0060 alarm, then re-initiate sequence number search with verified N-number using PROG search soft key or restart function.

  4. 4

Check parameter 3107#0 (N number skip) - if set to 1, the control skips N-numbers during search. Set to 0 for standard N-number search functionality.

Changing parameter 3107 requires parameter write enable (PWE) via parameter 3202#0=1 and may require cycle power
