Fanuc Alarm 5020 - PARAMETER OF RESTART ERROR
Alarm 5020 PARAMETER OF RESTART ERROR occurs when the CNC detects invalid or corrupted parameters related to the program restart function. This typically happens when restart parameters (P5020-5029 series) are outside acceptable ranges, incompatible with the current machine configuration, or corrupted due to battery failure or improper parameter manipulation.

Spindle Alarm - V Ready Off
Spindle V-Ready signal is off. The spindle amplifier is not sending its ready signal to the CNC, indicating the spindle drive is not operational.

Causes and Fixes
Press SYSTEM key, select [PARAM] soft key, and check parameters 5020 through 5029. Verify all values are within documented ranges per Fanuc parameter manual for your specific control series.
Compare restart parameters against current program requirements. Parameter 5020 (restart type) must match the program structure. Set bit 0 of parameter 3109 to enable parameter write if locked.
Set parameter write enable (PWE) switch ON before modifying parameters. Document original values before changes.
Clear restart parameters by setting parameter 5020=0 and parameters 5021-5029 to their default values (typically 0). Execute a controlled restart setup from the beginning of the desired program block.
If alarm persists after parameter reset, perform a parameter initialization (INIT key while powering on with specific key sequence per your control model) and reload verified parameter backup.
Parameter initialization will erase ALL parameters. Ensure verified backup is available before proceeding.
