Siemens 75210 - RCTR: number of axes/axis assignment inconsistent

RCTR: number of axes/axis assignment inconsistent

On transformation selection an incorrect axis assignment is detected: The axes entered in MD TRAFO_AXES_IN_1 do not match MD TRAFO6_NUM_AXES Control reaction: Interpreter stop Alarm display.

Root Cause Summary

Alarm 75210 occurs when the number of axes defined in MD TRAFO_AXES_IN_1 does not match the axis count specified in MD TRAFO6_NUM_AXES during transformation selection. This mismatch causes the RCTR (Rotary Contour Transformation) module to reject the axis assignment as inconsistent with the configured transformation geometry.

Safety

  • Only qualified personnel should diagnose and clear control alarms; follow the machine builder's safety procedures and lockout/tagout where hardware work is required.

Causes and Fixes

  1. 1

Access Siemens HMI menu: Machine → Machine Data → Transformations. Locate MD TRAFO_AXES_IN_1 for the active transformation set.

  2. 2

Count the number of axis entries in TRAFO_AXES_IN_1 (typically listed as comma-separated values, e.g., 'X,Y,Z' or 'X,Y,Z,B'). Note this count.

  3. 3

Navigate to MD TRAFO6_NUM_AXES in the same machine data menu and verify the integer value matches your axis count. If TRAFO6_NUM_AXES=3 but TRAFO_AXES_IN_1 lists only 2 axes, this is the source of the alarm.

  4. 4

Edit TRAFO_AXES_IN_1 to include all required axes or reduce TRAFO6_NUM_AXES to match the actual axis list. Save machine data and perform a warm restart (Ctrl+Shift+F) to reload NCK parameters.

Ensure axis names in TRAFO_AXES_IN_1 match the channel axis nomenclature defined in MD AXIS_NAME_TAB.
