KRC0603

KUKA Robot KRC0603 - No more data/variables available

No more data/variables available

The SREAD or CREAD instruction has reached the end of the input stream or the variable storage is exhausted. This occurs when attempting to read data from a file or channel when no more data exists or insufficient memory is available for storing retrieved values in the KRL program.

Common Causes

  • File or data stream has been completely read and SREAD/CREAD operation continues beyond EOF marker
  • Insufficient variable declaration space in the KRL program for storing read values
  • Input buffer overflow due to reading larger data blocks than allocated variable size
  • Corrupted or truncated data file causing premature end-of-file detection
  • Loop iteration counter not properly checking for end-of-data condition before calling SREAD/CREAD

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. 1Verify the input file exists and contains expected data by checking file size and content via WorkVisual file browser
  2. 2Review KRL source code to ensure SREAD/CREAD operations include proper EOF status checking with RET variable
  3. 3Increase variable array dimensions and storage allocation in the DECLARATIONS section of the KRL program
  4. 4Validate file format matches the expected channel configuration and data structure in $CUSTOM.DAT
  5. 5Add conditional logic to detect RET return values indicating end-of-data before subsequent read operations
  6. 6Reload the KRC4 controller program after modifications and monitor execution with KCP diagnostics panel
