KUKA Robot KRC0568 - <object> copy refused (S.)

<object> copy refused (S.)

A system file was transmitted to the robot without enabling the S option in the download command. The S option is required by KUKA security protocols to permit system file modifications on the KRC4 controller.

Common Causes

  • System file download command executed without the S flag parameter set in the transfer protocol
  • User attempted to overwrite protected system files through smartPAD or WorkVisual without proper authorization
  • File transferred with standard PUT command instead of secure system file PUT-S command variant
  • Download script or automation tool does not include the S parameter when sending files to robot controller
  • KUKA smartPAD user does not have sufficient privileges or system file access rights configured in robot safety settings

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. 1Confirm the file being transferred is a system file by checking its location in protected directories like C: or the config folder
  2. 2Append the S option parameter to the download command syntax when using WorkVisual file transfer interface
  3. 3Verify user account permissions in the KRC4 controller configuration to ensure system file modification rights are enabled
  4. 4Use the correct file transfer protocol variant such as PUT-S or CREAD with system file flag instead of standard commands
  5. 5Contact KUKA system administrator to authorize system file changes and enable the necessary security clearances for the operator account
  6. 6Review the KUKA smartPAD manual for the correct procedure to download system files including required authentication steps
