KUKA Robot KRC0570 - BCO move to aux. point required

BCO move to aux. point required

This alarm indicates that the robot must perform a move to an auxiliary point before executing the next programmed motion in a Ball-Center-Offset (BCO) or tool offset operation. The BCO function requires proper positioning at a defined auxiliary point to establish correct tool orientation and offset parameters before the main movement can proceed.

Common Causes

  • BCO auxiliary point has not been defined in the active tool or workpiece configuration
  • Previous BCO calibration or auxiliary point move was interrupted or not completed successfully
  • Tool offset data is corrupted or incomplete in the robot's memory
  • Program attempts to execute BCO motion without proper initialization sequence
  • Active tool frame or workpiece coordinate system is not properly aligned with BCO requirements

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. 1Verify that the BCO auxiliary point is properly defined in the tool data (Tool.dat) or workpiece coordinate system being used
  2. 2Execute a manual move to the defined BCO auxiliary point using manual pendant or KRC interface to initialize the offset parameters
  3. 3Check the program logic to ensure BCO auxiliary point move command precedes all subsequent BCO-dependent motions
  4. 4Reload or re-teach the BCO auxiliary point coordinates using the KUKA HMI, ensuring precise positioning and tool orientation
  5. 5Clear any previous BCO motion data by performing a full robot initialization or resetting the tool offset parameters
  6. 6Verify tool data consistency by reviewing the active tool frame configuration and confirming it matches the BCO operation requirements
