KUKA Robot KRC0538 - Main process not available

Main process not available

This alarm indicates that the motion trace (main run display) has been selected for visualization or monitoring, but the KRC controller has not yet interpreted or loaded a main run block into the execution queue. The main run block is the primary program module that contains the robot's motion instructions and must be compiled and available before the controller can display its execution trace.

Common Causes

  • Program file has not been selected or loaded into the main run block
  • Selected program contains syntax errors that prevented compilation
  • Main run block was cleared or unloaded without selecting a new program
  • Program transfer or download to the controller was incomplete or failed
  • KRC controller power cycle occurred before program initialization completed

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. 1Verify that a valid robot program (.src or .dat file) is selected as the main run block in the KRC Smartpad or Engineering interface
  2. 2Check the program file for syntax errors by opening it in the KRC editor and attempting to compile it
  3. 3Reload or reselect the program file to ensure it is properly interpreted by the controller
  4. 4Confirm that the program file was successfully transferred to the robot controller and appears in the file browser
  5. 5Clear the alarm and perform a controlled restart of the KRC controller to reinitialize the program environment
  6. 6If the issue persists, verify controller memory is not full and check system logs for related compilation or file access errors
