KRC0357

KUKA Robot KRC0357 - ACKN. DRIVES PARAMETER DATA <axis number> INVALID

ACKN. DRIVES PARAMETER DATA <axis number> INVALID

This alarm indicates that the drive parameter data for the specified axis has been corrupted, not properly initialized, or failed validation during the acknowledge (ACKN) phase of the KUKA KRC controller startup sequence. The controller cannot establish proper communication with the axis drive module because the parameter set is invalid or incompatible with the current configuration.

Common Causes

  • Corrupted drive parameter file in the axis configuration database
  • Incompatible or outdated axis drive firmware compared to controller software version
  • Missing or incomplete axis initialization data after controller reset or parameter restoration
  • Hardware communication failure between KRC controller and axis drive unit preventing proper parameter handshake
  • Invalid axis number reference or incorrect axis assignment in the robot configuration

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. 1Power cycle the KRC controller completely (power off for 30 seconds minimum) to reinitialize all axis drives and parameters
  2. 2Access the KRC teach pendant and navigate to Diagnostics menu to verify all axis drives are detected and responding correctly
  3. 3Check the axis configuration parameters in the robot database using KUKA.Calibration software to ensure all drive parameters are valid and complete
  4. 4Compare current axis drive firmware version against the compatible firmware list for your KRC controller software version and update if necessary
  5. 5Restore default drive parameters for the affected axis using the parameter reset function in System > Configuration menu, then re-acknowledge all drives
  6. 6If problem persists after parameter reset, contact KUKA service to verify hardware integrity or replace the affected axis drive controller board
