KRC0259

KUKA Robot KRC0259 - INVALID MASTERING SEQUENCE

INVALID MASTERING SEQUENCE

This alarm indicates that the robot's mastering (calibration) sequence was not performed in the correct order as defined in the machine datum parameter $SEQ_CAL. The KRC controller requires axes to be mastered in a specific sequence to ensure proper kinematic calibration and avoid singularities or collision zones. If axes are mastered out of sequence, the controller cannot guarantee accurate positioning and rejects the mastering operation.

Common Causes

  • Axes were mastered in incorrect order - not following the sequence specified in $SEQ_CAL parameter
  • Mastering interrupted or incomplete for one or more axes before proceeding to the next axis in sequence
  • Machine datum $SEQ_CAL parameter was modified or corrupted, causing sequence validation to fail
  • Operator error during initial setup - skipping an axis or attempting to master axes simultaneously
  • Previous mastering session failed partially, leaving some axes in unmastered state while attempting new sequence

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. 1Check the current $SEQ_CAL machine datum parameter to identify the required mastering sequence order using KUKA smartPAD or engineering software
  2. 2Perform a complete robot shutdown and power cycle to clear any partial mastering states or temporary flags
  3. 3Initiate mastering procedure again, strictly following the axis sequence defined in $SEQ_CAL without skipping or reordering any axes
  4. 4Verify each axis reaches full mastering completion status before proceeding to the next axis in the defined sequence
  5. 5If $SEQ_CAL appears corrupted, restore it from a known-good backup configuration or reinitialize machine data from KUKA documentation for your specific robot model
  6. 6If alarm persists, contact KUKA service to verify the machine datum integrity or check for hardware issues affecting mastering sensor feedback
