Access Machine Parameters

Press MOD key, select 'Machine Parameters' from setup menu, navigate to MP7500 series for hardware configuration.

Always backup current parameters before making changes using the data backup function.

Verify Drive Configuration

Check MP7500.x entries for drive types and HSCI addresses, compare with physical drive installation and cable connections.

Incorrect parameter changes can cause machine damage - document original settings first.

Update Configuration Parameters

Modify MP7500.x parameters to match actual drive positions, or use hardware configuration wizard in setup menu if available.

Use the diagnostic screen to verify HSCI communication after parameter changes.

Restart Control System

Perform controlled shutdown and restart to activate new hardware configuration parameters.

Ensure all axes are in safe position before restart.

Power Down System

Perform emergency stop, switch off main power, and wait for all LEDs to extinguish before accessing drive connections.

High voltage present - follow lockout/tagout procedures and verify power off with multimeter.

Trace HSCI Cable Connections

Follow HSCI cables from TNC to each drive inverter, verify cable labels match drive positions and alarm message port information.

Use the alarm message port numbers (%1 %2) to identify which specific drives are swapped.

Correct Cable Connections

Swap the HSCI cables between the two affected drives to match the expected configuration, ensure secure connections.

Label cables clearly during reconnection to prevent future confusion.

Verify Connection and Test

Power up system, check alarm clears, verify drive communication in diagnostic menu under HSCI status.

Test axis movement carefully in manual mode before automatic operation.

Document Current Drive Setup

Record serial numbers from alarm message (%5) and physical drive labels, note which axes they should control.

Take photos of drive installations and cable routing for reference.

Check Drive Installation Records

Review maintenance logs or installation documentation to verify correct drive placement and configuration.

Mismatched drive ratings can cause overcurrent or underpowered operation.

Physically Relocate Drives

Power down system and physically swap drive positions to match original configuration, maintaining all cable connections.

Ensure drive mounting and cooling requirements are met in new positions.

Update Drive Parameters

Access MP7500 series parameters and update drive serial numbers and types to match new physical installation.

Use the automatic drive detection function if available in your TNC version.

Access HSCI Diagnostic Screen

Navigate to diagnostic menu, select HSCI communication status to view detected drives and their addresses.

Compare detected addresses with alarm message HSCI address (%3) information.

Check Drive Address Settings

Examine DIP switches or software address settings on each drive inverter, verify they match machine parameter expectations.

Power off drives before changing DIP switch settings to prevent damage.

Correct Address Configuration

Set drive addresses to match machine parameter configuration, or update MP7500.x parameters to match current addresses.

Sequential addressing (0,1,2,3...) is typically easier to troubleshoot than random addressing.

Verify Communication

Restart system and confirm all drives communicate at correct addresses using HSCI diagnostic display.

Duplicate addresses will cause communication errors - ensure each drive has unique address.
