Haas 120 - LOW AIR PRESSURE | Haas CNC Alarm
Haas Alarm 120 triggers when shop air pressure drops below 80 PSI for the duration specified in Parameter 76 (default 3 seconds). The NGC control monitors air pressure through a pressure switch that signals the control board when insufficient pressure is detected for critical pneumatic functions.
Haas 120 - LOW AIR PRESSURE | Haas CNC Alarm
LOW AIR PRESSURE
This alarm is triggered when the pressure switch monitoring the pneumatic system detects air pressure has dropped below the minimum required threshold, typically 80 PSI at the machine inlet. The IOCON board monitors the pressure switch input and will prevent automatic tool changes and may disable drawbar operation to protect the spindle taper and tooling. Machine axes will typically continue to function but tool changer interlocks engage immediately.

Safety
Causes and Fixes
Check compressor operation
Verify shop air compressor is running and building pressure. Check compressor gauge reads above 100 PSI.
Ensure compressor electrical disconnect is locked out before inspection
Verify air supply capacity
Haas machines require minimum 6 CFM at 100 PSI. Check compressor specifications match machine requirements.
Multiple machines on same air line may exceed compressor capacity during simultaneous tool changes
Test pressure recovery time
Cycle machine functions and monitor how quickly pressure recovers. Slow recovery indicates undersized compressor.
