Fanuc 567 - Spindle speed sensor error
Alarm 567 indicates the spindle control system is not receiving valid speed feedback from the spindle encoder or sensor. This typically occurs when the encoder signal is lost, degraded, or the actual spindle speed deviates significantly from the commanded speed, preventing the servo loop from maintaining proper control.
Fanuc 567 - Spindle speed sensor error
SPINDLE SPEED SENSOR ERROR
Fanuc spindle alarm 567: SPINDLE SPEED SENSOR ERROR. The spindle drive or spindle motor has detected a fault condition that requires diagnosis before spindle operation can resume.
Root Cause Summary
Alarm 567 indicates the spindle control system is not receiving valid speed feedback from the spindle encoder or sensor. This typically occurs when the encoder signal is lost, degraded, or the actual spindle speed deviates significantly from the commanded speed, preventing the servo loop from maintaining proper control.
Safety
Causes and Fixes
Power down the machine and lock out main power following safety procedures.
Always follow LOTO procedures before accessing electrical components.
Inspect the encoder cable from spindle motor to drive unit for physical damage, cuts, pinch points, or coolant contamination. Check cable routing for proper strain relief.
Disconnect and reconnect all encoder cable connectors at both motor and drive ends. Check connector pins for bent, corroded, or pushed-back pins. Clean connectors with electrical contact cleaner if necessary.
If damage is found, replace the encoder cable with OEM equivalent. Verify proper shielding continuity and grounding after replacement. Clear alarm and test spindle operation.
