Safety
Causes and Fixes
Access Diagnostics > Tool Management via MMC. Verify the tool table is loaded and review all defined tool numbers. Cross-reference the tool number called in the NC program (T-word) against the displayed tool list.
Ensure the correct tool management type (MD 6000) is active: 0=standard tool management, 1=advanced tool management.
In NC program, check the T-word command syntax. Verify tool number is within the range defined by MD 6010. If tool number is out of range, either reduce the tool number or increase MD 6010 value.
If tool is missing entirely, add the tool to the tool table via MMC Tool Management menu and assign required tool geometry offsets (length D, radius R) using MD 6170-6180 tool offset parameters or graphical tool editor.
After modifying tool table, perform 'Reset to defaults' via Diagnostics > Initialize to ensure NCK reloads tool data.
Trigger tool motion command again (M6 or T-word) after tool is properly defined.
