61330

Siemens 61330 - Block : Coordinate rotation active

Block: Coordinate rotation active

No measuring possible in the rotated coordinate system

Root Cause Summary

Alarm 61330 fires when CYCLE972, CYCLE973, CYCLE974, or CYCLE994 (probing/measuring cycles) are called while coordinate rotation is active in the current channel. The NCK cannot execute measurement operations in a rotated coordinate system because probe data interpretation requires the machine's native coordinate frame.

Safety

  • Only qualified personnel should diagnose and clear control alarms; follow the machine builder's safety procedures and lockout/tagout where hardware work is required.

Causes and Fixes

  1. 1

Access Diagnostics > NCK > FRAMES menu and verify active FRAME rotation angle (ROT parameter). Compare against program block before CYCLE972/973/974/994 call.

  2. 2

Deactivate rotation before measurement: insert FRAME(0,0,0) or FRAME reset command prior to probing cycle, or use SUPA (suppress active frames) if supported in your control software version.

SUPA may not be available on all 840D software versions; verify MD10200 documentation.

  3. 3

Restore FRAME after measurement cycle completes to maintain rotated plane for subsequent machining operations.
