Siemens 300769 - Axis drive denominator bandwidth > double natural frequency

Axis drive denominator bandwidth > double natural frequency

The bandwidth denominator of a current or speed setpoint filter is greater than twice the natural frequency. This error message is only issued for the general bandstop filter if: - Speed setpoint filter 1: - MD 1516 > 0.0 or - MD 1520 <> 100.0 - Speed setpoint filter 2: - MD 1519 > 0.0 or - MD 1521 <> 100.0 - Current setpoint filter 1: - MD 1212 > 0.0 - Current setpoint filter 2: - MD 1215 > 0.0 - Current setpoint filter 3: - MD 1218 > 0.0 - Current setpoint filter 4: - MD 1221 > 0.0 The alarm can be reprogrammed in the MD ALARM_REACTION_CHAN_NOREADY (channel not ready) Control reaction: NC not ready. The NC switches to follow-up mode. Channel not ready. NC Start disable in this channel. Interface signals are set. Alarm display. NC Stop on alarm. Channel not ready.

Root Cause Summary

This alarm occurs when the bandwidth denominator of a current or speed setpoint filter exceeds twice the natural frequency due to incorrect machine data settings. Adjust the relevant MD parameters to resolve.

Safety

  • Drive/power/encoder circuit: hazardous voltages may remain in the DC link after power-off. Lock out / tag out, wait for discharge per the drive documentation, and use qualified personnel only.

Causes and Fixes

  1. 1

    Check MD Parameters

Review MD 1516, 1519, 1520, and 1521 for the affected axis and drive.

  2. 2

    Adjust Values

Ensure bandwidth denominator values are less than twice the natural frequency. Adjust as needed.

  3. 3

    Reset and Test

Clear the alarm, reset the control, and test the program or axis movement.

DIY Feasiblehigh confidence

Call a technician if:

  • ·If MD adjustments do not resolve the alarm
  • ·If unsure about correct MD values for the machine

Prevention

  • Document MD changes during setup
  • Validate MD settings against machine manual before operation
  • Ensure only qualified personnel modify machine data parameters
  • Implement change control procedures for critical parameters

Common Mistakes

  • Overlooking specific MD parameter limits
  • Failing to reset control after MD changes
