Siemens 26014 - Axis machine data invalid value
Alarm 26014 fires when the NCK detects an invalid or out-of-range value in axis-specific machine data during parameter validation at power-up or runtime. This typically occurs in overtravel-related MD parameters (MD32000-MD32999 range) where numeric bounds, data type conflicts, or interdependent MD relationships fail validation checks.

Causes and Fixes
Access Siemens HMI > Diagnostics > Alarms > Archive and note the %1 axis number and %2 machine data parameter number from alarm 26014.
Navigate to Machine > Parameters > Axis-specific > [Axis] and locate the flagged MD parameter. Verify MD32010 (positive overtravel distance) is positive non-zero, MD32020 (negative overtravel distance) is negative non-zero, and both have consistent physical units (typically mm or degrees).
Do not enter values that contradict the axis type; rotary axes typically use smaller numeric ranges than linear axes.
Cross-check MD32000 (axis type: 0=linear, 1=rotary) matches the overtravel parameters. If MD32000=1 (rotary), overtravel values should reflect degrees (0-360 range typical); if MD32000=0 (linear), values reflect motion units.
Clear the alarm via HMI reset or NCK power cycle after correcting the parameter. Verify the axis definition in the Part Program editor or Axis Configuration tool shows consistent limits.
