Safety
Causes and Fixes
Enter service mode and access machine data (MD) via HMI Commissioning menu or SINUMERIK Operate -> Commissioning -> Machine Data.
Check MD11210 (ASSIGN_DRVIE_TO_NAME) and MD11200 (DEVICE) for FDD or SLM drive assignments. Note any references to drive letters or device types that should not exist.
Remove or comment out unnecessary FDD/SLM device assignments from MD11200 and MD11210. Set unused device entries to empty strings or valid existing devices.
Backup all machine data before modification. Incorrect device configuration can prevent system boot.
Perform a Power-On Reset (POR) via HMI: Commissioning -> System -> Boot System, or cycle NCK power completely. Verify alarm clears on restart.
