KRC0893

KUKA Robot KRC0893 - RIGHT OPERAND NOT EQUAL TO INT, REAL 2229

RIGHT OPERAND NOT EQUAL TO INT, REAL 2229

This alarm occurs during KRL program compilation or execution when a right operand in an expression is not of type INT or REAL as required. The operation attempted to use an incompatible data type on the right side of an assignment or mathematical operation.

Common Causes

  • Right operand is a STRING type when INT or REAL is expected
  • Right operand is a BOOL type used in arithmetic operation
  • Right operand is an AXIS or FRAME structure in arithmetic context
  • Type mismatch in function call where INT or REAL parameter is required
  • Implicit type conversion not supported between operand types

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. 1Locate the line number indicated in the alarm message in your KRL source code
  2. 2Identify the right operand of the problematic expression and verify its declared data type
  3. 3Convert the right operand to INT or REAL using explicit type conversion functions (INT(), REAL()) if applicable
  4. 4Review function signatures and parameter definitions to ensure correct data types are being passed
  5. 5Check variable declarations to confirm they match expected types for mathematical or assignment operations
  6. 6Recompile the program after corrections and verify the alarm no longer appears
