KUKA Robot KRC0688 - IMPORTED VARIABLE NOT DECLARED IN DATA LIST 2024

IMPORTED VARIABLE NOT DECLARED IN DATA LIST 2024

This alarm occurs when a KRL program attempts to import a variable or data object that has not been properly declared in the data list (DAT file) of the receiving module. The compiler detects a reference to an external object (@P1@) without a corresponding declaration in the current program's data definitions.

Common Causes

  • Variable @P1@ is used in an IMPORT statement but not declared in the corresponding DAT file
  • Typo or case sensitivity mismatch between the imported variable name and its declaration
  • Missing or incomplete data list file associated with the calling program
  • Attempting to import a variable from a module that no longer exists or was renamed
  • Syntax error in the DAT file preventing proper variable declaration parsing

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. 1Identify the imported variable name @P1@ from the alarm message
  2. 2Check the DAT file of the importing program to verify the variable is declared with exact name matching
  3. 3Verify the source module/program containing the variable exists and is accessible in the project
  4. 4Confirm IMPORT and GLOBAL declarations match exactly in spelling, capitalization, and data type
  5. 5Recompile the affected program and verify all referenced modules are up to date
  6. 6If variable was recently renamed, update all IMPORT statements and DAT declarations accordingly
