KUKA Robot KRC0687 - IMPORTED VARIABLE NOT DECLARED IN DATA LIST 2023

IMPORTED VARIABLE NOT DECLARED IN DATA LIST 2023

This alarm occurs when a KRL program attempts to import a variable that has not been properly declared in the data list (DEFDAT) of the receiving module. The compiler detected an undefined external variable reference during the 2023 compilation process, preventing the program from executing.

Common Causes

  • Variable @P1@ is referenced in an IMPORT statement but does not exist in the target module's declaration list
  • Typo or case-sensitivity mismatch in the imported variable name between source and destination modules
  • The data list file (*.src or *.dat) was not updated after adding new module imports
  • Variable was deleted or renamed in the source module without updating the corresponding IMPORT declarations
  • Missing or incorrect module linkage in the project configuration

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. 1Verify that the variable @P1@ exists and is properly declared in the target module's DEFDAT section
  2. 2Check spelling and case sensitivity of the variable name in both the IMPORT statement and the DEFDAT declaration
  3. 3Review the data list file to ensure all imported variables are listed with correct syntax
  4. 4Confirm that the source module containing the variable is properly linked in the project structure
  5. 5Recompile the entire project after correcting declarations to ensure consistency across all modules
  6. 6If variable was recently renamed, update all IMPORT statements referencing the old name to use the new name
