KUKA Robot KRC0616 - SINEC L2 CONFIGURATION ERROR **

SINEC L2 CONFIGURATION ERROR **

The SINEC L2 channel open or close operation has been rejected due to a configuration error detected by the SINEC L2 module on the KRC4 controller. The hardware or software configuration is inconsistent or invalid. Correct the SINEC L2 configuration in WorkVisual and resync with the controller.

Common Causes

  • SINEC L2 configuration parameters in WorkVisual are incomplete or contain invalid values
  • Mismatch between the WorkVisual SINEC L2 project configuration and the actual KRC4 runtime configuration
  • SINEC L2 firmware on the board is incompatible with the KRC4 system software version
  • Network address, baud rate, or protocol settings are incorrectly defined in the communication profile
  • Configuration data corruption on the SINEC L2 board due to power loss or failed download operation

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. 1Open the KRL source code and verify the channel open parameters match the WorkVisual configuration exactly
  2. 2Launch WorkVisual and review the SINEC L2 communication configuration for completeness and validity
  3. 3Compare the configuration in WorkVisual with the current KRC4 runtime settings using the diagnostic menu
  4. 4Update the KRC4 and SINEC L2 firmware to compatible versions using the official KUKA software update procedure
  5. 5Delete and reconfigure the SINEC L2 communication channel in WorkVisual with correct parameters
  6. 6Download the corrected WorkVisual project to the KRC4 controller using the appropriate download method and verify successful transfer
