KRC0614

KUKA Robot KRC0614 - <SINEC L2, SINEC H1> board not available

<SINEC L2, SINEC H1> board not available

An attempt was made to access a SINEC L2 or SINEC H1 communication channel, but the corresponding interface board is not physically installed in the KRC4 controller. The hardware component required for this communication protocol is missing or not properly seated. Verify the controller hardware configuration matches the software configuration.

Common Causes

  • SINEC L2 or SINEC H1 board was removed or not installed during system assembly
  • Board is physically installed but not properly seated in the expansion slot
  • KRL program or WorkVisual configuration references a communication board that does not exist
  • Hardware configuration changed but software configuration was not updated accordingly
  • Defective or non-functional SINEC L2/H1 board that is not recognized by the KRC4 firmware

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. 1Physically inspect the KRC4 controller expansion slots to confirm the SINEC L2 or SINEC H1 board is installed
  2. 2Power down the controller and reseat the communication board firmly into its slot
  3. 3Check the KRC4 system information display on the smartPAD to verify detected hardware components
  4. 4Review the WorkVisual project configuration and confirm the board type matches the installed hardware
  5. 5Power cycle the KRC4 controller to allow the system to detect and re-initialize the communication board
  6. 6If the board is still not detected, contact KUKA service to replace or repair the defective hardware
