KRC0555

KUKA Robot KRC0555 - All analog functions assigned

All analog functions assigned

This alarm indicates that more than 2 cyclic analog outputs have been simultaneously activated on the KUKA KRC controller, exceeding the system's hardware limitation. The KRC controller supports a maximum of 2 concurrent cyclic analog output channels due to PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) resource constraints. When additional analog outputs are enabled beyond this limit, the controller triggers this alarm to prevent unpredictable behavior or signal degradation.

Common Causes

  • Enabling more than 2 analog outputs simultaneously in the motion program using SetAnalogOutput() or similar functions
  • Conflicting analog output assignments in the I/O configuration without proper multiplexing
  • Multiple program tasks attempting to control different analog outputs concurrently
  • Incorrect interpolation settings causing unintended analog channel activation during synchronized motion
  • Hardware configuration error where more analog outputs are defined as cyclic than physically supported

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. 1Review the active program and identify all SetAnalogOutput() calls or analog output assignments currently enabled
  2. 2Reduce the number of simultaneously active analog outputs to a maximum of 2 cyclic channels
  3. 3Check the I/O configuration in the KRC controller to verify analog output channel assignments and disable unnecessary cyclic outputs
  4. 4Implement output multiplexing or sequencing logic if more than 2 analog signals are required, enabling them in non-overlapping time periods
  5. 5Verify in the System > Analog tab of the KRC Cockpit that only 2 analog outputs are configured as cyclic; set others to acyclic mode if possible
  6. 6Clear the alarm and restart the program after modifications to confirm the issue is resolved
