KRC0556

KUKA Robot KRC0556 - <Signal name> not an analog output

<Signal name> not an analog output

This alarm occurs when a program attempts to access an analog output signal that does not exist in the controller's configuration or uses an invalid signal index. The KRC controller cannot establish communication with the specified analog output channel because it either has not been declared, is not configured in the I/O table, or the index value exceeds the available analog output channels.

Common Causes

  • Analog output signal not declared or configured in the I/O configuration table
  • Incorrect signal name or typo in the program code referencing the analog output
  • Signal index number exceeds the maximum number of available analog outputs on the controller
  • Analog output module or card not installed or not properly initialized in the hardware configuration
  • Signal definition deleted or corrupted in the project configuration without updating referencing code

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. 1Verify the analog output signal name exists in the I/O configuration table (Startup > I/O > Analog Outputs) and matches exactly in the program code
  2. 2Check the signal index value to ensure it is within the valid range for configured analog outputs on your KRC controller model
  3. 3Confirm that the analog output module or card is physically installed and properly seated in the controller's I/O slot
  4. 4Review the program code for typos or incorrect signal naming; use the signal list feature in the KRC development environment to select signals
  5. 5If the signal was recently deleted, restore it in the I/O configuration or update all program references to use a valid existing analog output signal
  6. 6Perform a full project recompile and reload the configuration to ensure all signal definitions are synchronized across the controller
