KRC0557

KUKA Robot KRC0557 - Analog output already assigned

Analog output already assigned

This alarm is generated when a KRL program assigns a second signal definition to an analog output channel that is already actively configured for cyclic analog output operations. Each analog output channel in the KRC4 system can only maintain one active signal assignment at any given time.

Common Causes

  • Two SIGNAL declarations reference the same analog output channel index, such as SIGNAL SIG1 and SIGNAL SIG2 both pointing to ANOUT[1]
  • ANOUT ON statement is used for multiple signals controlling the same physical analog output connector
  • Signal redefinition in different KRL program modules attempting to control identical analog output channel
  • Incorrect channel numbering causing unintended overlap between separate analog output signal assignments
  • Copy-paste error in KRL code where signal definition was duplicated without changing the target ANOUT channel reference

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. 1Search the entire KRL program source code for all instances of ANOUT channel references to identify duplicate assignments
  2. 2Document each unique signal and its assigned ANOUT channel number to create a channel allocation map
  3. 3Modify one of the conflicting signals to reference an available and unused ANOUT channel from the controller
  4. 4Verify in WorkVisual that all analog output channels are properly declared and no overlapping definitions exist in the configuration
  5. 5Use the KUKA smartPAD Diagnosis function to check the current analog output channel status and active signal assignments
  6. 6Recompile the KRL program after making corrections and test each analog signal independently to confirm proper operation
