Common Causes

• Attempting to select a new program while another program is currently selected without proper deselection
• Program selection command issued while the robot is executing or in the process of loading a program
• Multiple program selection requests sent in rapid succession without waiting for completion
• Controller in a busy state due to ongoing file I/O or program compilation operations
• Program selection initiated through multiple interfaces (SmartPAD, external controller, network) simultaneously

Troubleshooting Steps

1. 1Stop the currently running program by pressing the STOP button on the SmartPAD or using the appropriate control interface
2. 2Deselect the active program through the File menu or by executing a program deselection command before attempting to select a new program
3. 3Allow sufficient time between consecutive program selection commands to ensure the controller completes the previous operation
4. 4Verify that no other control interface (external controller, network connection, or engineering software) is attempting to select a program simultaneously
5. 5Check the controller's system status and wait for any ongoing file operations or program compilation to complete before retrying program selection
6. 6If the issue persists, perform a warm restart of the KRC controller and verify program accessibility in the file system
