KUKA Robot KRC0429 - RESET REQUIRED

RESET REQUIRED

This alarm occurs when a RUN command has been issued to a process that has already completed execution and reached its end state. The KUKA KRC controller requires an explicit reset operation to clear the process state before it can be run again, preventing accidental re-execution of completed routines.

Common Causes

  • Attempting to execute RUN on a program that has already finished without resetting the process state first
  • Multiple RUN commands issued consecutively without intermediate RESET commands
  • Operator pressing START/RUN button while program is already in end state from previous execution
  • Automation or external control system not sending RESET signal between sequential program cycles
  • Program logic not including proper reset sequence before calling RUN again in continuous operation

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. 1Press the RESET button on the teach pendant or issue a RESET command via the control interface to clear the end state
  2. 2Verify that the program has completed its full execution cycle and review the program status in the KRC controller diagnostics
  3. 3Check the program structure to ensure RESET is called at appropriate points, particularly in looped or cyclical operations
  4. 4Confirm that any external control signals or automation interfaces are sending RESET before issuing subsequent RUN commands
  5. 5Review the process state machine in the KRC controller using the diagnostics menu to monitor state transitions between RUN and END states
  6. 6If operating in automatic mode, verify that the cycle logic properly implements reset sequences between program iterations
