KUKA Robot KRC0424 - None. DRIFT COMPENSATION ABORTED

None. DRIFT COMPENSATION ABORTED

The active drift compensation process was terminated by an external stop command such as pressing the Stop key on the KUKA smartPAD or triggering a safety stop message. Drift compensation must be completed without interruption to maintain accurate tool center point calibration.

Common Causes

  • Operator pressed the red Stop button or Enable key during active drift compensation procedure
  • Safety interlock or hardware limit switch triggered an automated stop during drift compensation execution
  • KRL program containing drift compensation was halted by a monitored stop command or exception handler
  • Teach pendant deadman switch was released during SafeOperation drift compensation cycle
  • Emergency stop or fault message was generated that caused immediate program termination mid-compensation

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. 1Verify that no safety interlocks or hardware limit switches are active that could trigger unwanted stops
  2. 2Ensure the teach pendant deadman switch is properly functioning and will remain engaged throughout the procedure
  3. 3Clear any active fault messages or alarms in the KRC4 controller before restarting drift compensation
  4. 4Re-initiate the complete drift compensation procedure from the beginning without interruption
  5. 5Review the KRL program logic surrounding drift compensation to ensure no early exit conditions are being triggered
  6. 6If repeated interruptions occur, verify SafeOperation configuration and stop monitoring settings in WorkVisual configuration
