KUKA Robot KRC0322 - ACKN. EMERGENCY STOP

ACKN. EMERGENCY STOP

This alarm indicates that the Emergency Stop (E-Stop) circuit was activated and requires acknowledgment before the robot can resume normal operation. The KRC controller detected an active emergency stop condition, which halts all robot motion and safety-critical functions immediately. The alarm must be cleared by acknowledging the E-Stop condition through the teach pendant or control interface.

Common Causes

  • Physical E-Stop button pressed on teach pendant or control panel
  • E-Stop circuit triggered by external safety device or interlock
  • Wiring fault or loose connection in E-Stop circuit
  • Safety gate or enclosure door opened during robot operation
  • Automatic E-Stop activation from safety PLC or external safety system

Troubleshooting Steps

  1. 1Verify the physical location and status of all E-Stop buttons on the teach pendant and fixed control panels
  2. 2Check that no safety gates, enclosures, or interlocks are open or in fault condition
  3. 3Inspect E-Stop circuit wiring and connectors for damage, corrosion, or loose terminals
  4. 4Reset the E-Stop by rotating the E-Stop button counterclockwise (if manual reset is required)
  5. 5Acknowledge the alarm through the teach pendant menu or KRC software interface
  6. 6Perform a system restart if the alarm persists after acknowledgment and all safety conditions are normal
